Rina Mimoun Begs You to Watch Privileged

Rina Mimoun, the show's executive producer, has no problem begging people to watch Privileged tonight (new episode, All About Appearances!) and quite frankly, nor do we.  This show is one of the freshest, most fun shows on television, so why are we the only ones watching it?  Rina recounts how it all started on her celebrity blog on TV Guide:

"Around this time last year, I was writing a script for Pushing Daisies that involved windmills and a one-winged pigeon, when the book "How To Teach Filthy Rich Girls" showed up on my desk. A perfect excuse to procrastinate, I read the book in one sitting. Two things immediately struck me."

  1. She missed writing about teenagers.  I mean the woman did spend ten years on the WB.  Privileged has plenty of teenage romance with the Baker twins.
  2. Girl Power!  As the executive producer of Everwood, Mimoun spent most of her time writing about a father son relationship.  Now she gets a strong female lead like Megan to tell the story of.

Mimoun goes on to tell us they just finished filming their ninth episode.  We need to get people to start watching the show if we want the next nine.  And with some of the stuff Rina tells is will happen in those extra nine?  Wow!  Start watching people.  Minor spoiler alert:

  • We learn Sage's dark secret
  • Meet Marco's boyfriend
  • Watch Rose self destruct
  • More Megan Boy Troubles (duh!)
  • Megan discovers Charlie's in love with her and learns something he did for her five years ago

So please please.  This is from both Rina Mimoun and the Fanatic.  Get all your friends to watch Privileged!

Privileged Spoilers from Executive Producer Rina Mimoun

Tomorrow night may be a rerun of the pilot of Privileged, but want to know what's coming up for the weeks to follow?  Well thanks to executive producer Rina Mimoun talking to Zap2it, we have some spoilers that will help tide you guys over.

  1. Megan's Love triangle is about to explode.  Apparently Jacob has a secret which will be revealed.  And poor sweet Charlie is going to go dark while apparently Megan has no clue what happened to her best friend.  Oh, and Charlie will find a love interested played by Alice Greczyn.  As for Will, don't worry, there attraction between him and Megan is still undeniable.

Mr. Cassidy

Oh Mr Cassidy, what is your secret?

  1. We get to meet Megan's dad.  Barley an episode goes by where Megan's dad isn't mentioned.  Now in the next episode (6), there's going to be even more Megan / Lily drama sparked by the appearance of their dad.  Apparently there's going to be a horrible dinner party coming soon.
  2. Sage and Rose will fight.  Apparently things won't always be so flowery between the girls.  There will apparently be a huge fight and we will see the reality underneath their sisterhood.  Whatever that means.
  3. Laurel is exposedWe're finally going to see a bit of weakness to Laurel and why she's the way she is and exactly what happened between her and her granddaughters that makes them so distant.
  4. Sage finds some love.  Though Max and Rose are done (apparently a lot sooner than Mimoun intended), we have yet to see any potential love interest for Sage.  Apparently that's all going o change in episode ten.

Will Sage give up her V Card?

Wow.  All I can say is can this show get any better?
